Linux, great scenery and great Italian food... all in one day!
Linux and Free Software are cheaper and robust alternatives to the software you normally find on school or office computers. If you don’t believe it, just have a look at these screenshots of Ubuntu, a version of Linux designed for unexperienced users or let a mom tell you why every family should attend a Linux Day at least once!.
Umbria is one of the most beautiful regions of Italy, and everybody loves great traditional food and clean air. Sure, you’ll say, but what this has to do with Linux? Well, the fact that <a href=“http:*www.binarioetico.org"Binario Etico and the Park of Renewable Energy (PeR) have teamed up to create a great package.
Binario Etico is a trashware cooperative, which uses Free Software to save computers from the landfills. The PeR is a beautiful guesthouse built and managed with zero emission principles, serving meals prepared with locally produced organic foods.
Oh, yes, the package. From Nov. 20 to Nov. 22 PeR will offer a full board stay which includes an Ubuntu Linux course by Binario Etico AND the computer on which you’ll take the course. That’s right, you not only get a full weekend of great food and relax in the hills, you also go back home with an Ubuntu computer and knowing how to use it!
Unfortunately, this specific offer is limited to guests speaking Italian, but it’s a wonderful way to make Free Software moreā¦ palatable, isn’t it? (and of course you can stay at the Park whenever you’re happen to be in Umbria)
