Today, a company called Mythic AI announced a new chip optimized for a wide range of uses including, among many other things:

  • smart cities
  • object detection, classification and depth estimation for [artificial] vision
  • autonomous drones
  • surveillance cameras
  • human body pose estimation, which is expected to drive “future smart fitness, gaming, and collaborative robotics devices”

Did you notice?

Mythic AI, whose logo is the picture above, just announced chips optimized for patroling, checking if you do push-up right, and maybe fighting.

That is, they announced something that looks a bit too much like Sergeant Hartman, did they not?

OK, that may be an overstatement, or a bad joke. But the fact that Mythic AI logo is a stylized human makes one think all the same, doesn’t it?
